The curb neckless is Stainless Steel with an IP plating . IP plating is Ion Vapour plating , when an item is coated with  a layer of durable titanium nitrade . In this case the plating provides a deep grey , yet still reflective colouration, creating an unusual modern feel to the piece.  The clasp is also stainleess steel.
