Osupa Blue Moonstone Siver Rings
Two teardrop shaped Blue Moonstone gemstones set in silver . The larger ring has a blue and white hue to the gemstone as it twinkles in the light . The smaller ring has a slightly more pale green hue as it reflects the light .
Moonstone is an Orthoclase Feldspar formed from cooling magmas deep within the Earth. As the magmas cooled at differing speeds so thin layers of the minerals Albite and Orthoclase formed . These minerals have different reflective indexes so light entering the stone is scattered and diffused in many directions creating the beautiful changes in colour known as adularescence and wonderful lines and patterns within the gemstone.
Moonstone was worn as an amulet by ancient travellers . The Ancient Greeks suggested that two people wearing Moonstones would fall in love on the night of a full moon !
It is regarded by many cultures as the stone of femininity and is the birthstone for Cancerians and Gemini. It may improve intuition and creativity ,providing a calming effect .
