One of the darker Merlinite gemstones with a grey matrix mottled with snowflake shaped darker markings and a white band down one side. The pendant comes complete with an 18 inch silver chain. 

Merlinite is also kown as Dendritic Agate.  It is an intrusive igneous rock consisting of white opalised agate with black and grey  tree like dendrites of psilomelane a black manganese oxide. It is found mainly in New Mexico in the U.S.A. with small deposits in Cornwall U.K.  Cornwall has a deep association with Arthurian legends and myths relating to the sorcerer Merlin, hence the name Merlinite evolved.
