These Larimar stones have been carefully matched to create delicate drop earrings . 

Larimar is a rare variety of Pectolite , containing traces of copper which give it an unusual tropical sea blue colour.  This shade of Pectolite is only found in The Dominican Republic. 

The stone  was named by the discoverer after his daughter , Larissa, and the Spanish wordfor sea ,`mar`, hence Larimar. 

Larimar is thought to encourage clear thought and aid tranquility.
