An unusual Merlinite gemstone with the grey merging into a darker band then into a pale grey and white  with spots of dark dendrites.

Merlinite is also kown as Dendritic Agate.  It is an intrusive igneous rock consisting of white opalised agate with black and grey  tree like dendrites of psilomelane a black manganese oxide. It is found mainly in New Mexico  with small deposits in Cornwall U.K.  Cornwall has a deep association with Arthurian legends and myths relating to the sorcerer Merlin, hence the name Merlinite evolved.
